Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you (the parent or carer who creates the account and pays) and P Liddle, author of this web site, who runs National 5 Computing Science. They are short, and written to be read.

What you get

  • One account for one pupil, with access to everything on the course: notes, simulations, coding lessons, practice quizzes, revision games, past-paper practice and the progress dashboard.
  • Access starts as soon as you pay and lasts until 3 June 2027, just after the National 5 Computing Science exam on Thursday 27 May 2027.
  • Weekly progress emails to you, if you ask for them.

Paying

The price is £29 if you pay by 31 December 2026, and £39 after that. It is a single payment, not a subscription: nothing renews and nothing more is taken. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card details.

Changing your mind

You can cancel within 14 days of paying, for any reason, and get a full refund. Email hello@national5computing.co.uk. After 14 days, payments are not refundable, unless something is wrong with the service that we cannot put right.

Using the site

  • Each account is for one pupil. Please don't share the login: if another child wants to use the site, they need their own account.
  • The course material is ours. It is for your child's own study: please don't copy it, share it or publish it.
  • We may close an account that is shared or misused. If we do, we will tell you why, and refund the unused part of the access period.

What we promise, and what we cannot

  • We work hard to keep the site running and accurate, and to fix mistakes quickly when they are reported. Like any website, it may occasionally be unavailable for a short time.
  • We keep improving the course during the year. We won't take away anything you paid for.
  • The site is a revision aid. We cannot promise any particular exam result.
  • National 5 Computing Science is independent. It is not run by, or connected with, the SQA or Qualifications Scotland.
  • Your rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.
